Home to
the Kamawarie Cavaliers is an idyllic little spot in
the peace and quiet of the Victorian countryside,
Australia. We are a small family kennel owned
by mother and daughter - Marie and Karen.
Our
Cavaliers run free across grassy acres. Their
'kennels' are cool, shady verandahs in summer and a
cosy chair by the fire and a spot on the bed in
winter.
Whenever their adventuring takes them our Cavaliers
are constantly under the vigilant eye of their best
friend and guardian - our majestic Maremma Sheepdog.

Our love affair with
the Cavalier started nearly twelve years
ago when
we purchased our very first pet - a beautiful
Tricolour boy named 'Kimbeau'. The meaning of his
name was stated as "Brave and of Royal Birth". How
very appropriate we thought for this wonderful
breed of dog!
Of course we could
not stop at just one Cavalier! How many people
before and after us have discovered how very
moreish these little dogs are!
We were drawn like
magnets to dog shows every weekend just so we could
see more and more Cavaliers and all four colours!
It did not take very long at all before we too were
well and truly bitten by the showing bug and we
were on our way with our first show quality
Cavaliers.
We are still
enjoying the show scene immensely and have met many
wonderful people along the way and learned to avoid
the other variety. We have been incredibly
fortunate in that we have benefited from the
guidance and advice of some of the "best in the
business"!
We hope you enjoy
your journey through Kamawarie and that you will
call back from time to time.

T he
answer is " Very Special People"! That means people
who have already done or who are prepared to do their
homework and thoroughly research the breed before
committing themselves to the responsibility of owning
a Cavalier.
People who already
own a Cavalier and have come to appreciate how much
they and their pet would enjoy the company of
another.
These people do not
need to be wealthy but they do need to have a
realistic outlook as to the cost of maintaining their
Cavalier in a happy, healthy and comfortable state.
The home does not
need to be large but it must be safe and secure with
a securely fenced yard for outdoor activities.
Life on the land is
great but not if cattle fencing is the only means of
keeping your little Cavalier out of harms way. A dog
proof fence around the house yard is a must.
Our "Special
People" do not stress about dog hair on and under the
furniture, on their clothes and in their car.
They realise that
they have selected the ultimate companion dog and as
such they are prepared to welcome their Cavalier into
their daily lives as well as into their home and, in
most cases, onto their beds.
Companionship is a
must. The ultimate companion dog was not bred to be
left alone day after day.
